WE LOVE COFFEE!
Our Operation
Port Side Coffee Company is family owned and operated by Andy and Stephanie Downey of Owensville, IN. A small county known for it's agriculture, the Downeys have a dream of one day adding coffee to the area's "best known for" list.
We use a 6 KG Mill City Gas Coffee Roaster & use sensory roasting to develop our finest single origin coffee beans. We have discovered our passion for coffee can be used to bring people together, to raise awareness and funds for groups who take part in our fundraising program.
At Port Side we want to make everyone feel welcome, to help you find your favorite coffee or even one of the loose-leaf teas we have in stock. Stop in and grab a drink and a sweet treat that we bake in the shop, as well.
When the roaster is running, you will love taking a stroll around the historic square of Princeton and enjoy the smell of our fresh coffee roasting.
Why Ethical Coffee Matters
We work closely with three state side importers to ensure the best bean quality for our customers. These importers support coffee farms who aim to produce the world's best coffee beans, viable farming techniques, and implement principled working conditions. With every coffee bean they offer, they also provide a well-arranged background of the history of the farmer, their personal tasting notes, and suggested roasting.
